Hi, I'm Jessica. I appreciate fiction in its many shapes and forms.
Welcome to my blog! You'll find books, anime, games, and other various internet things here. I've got a soft spot for rough drafts, science, and education 'cause they show what goes on behind the scenes of life. I also post lots of sweets, pictures of Japan and architecture I find pretty, rambles on life, the universe, and everything, and, uh, lots of stuff! This blog doesn't have an overarching theme--there's too much going on in my head for that. I run this blog on a constant queue, so don't worry if I don't reply to your message right away!
Glitch Essences- take 2
Since my first effort, I found bottles that are a better shape. The larger size feels like the “right” size to me, and the tiny bottles are just so cute!
The color of the essence didn’t photograph very well (darn purple!), but in real life it matches the flower on the label nicely.
I used dishsoap for these bottles. It will stay liquid, unlike the clear glue I used before, but should be pretty stable.
Also, I’ve made up an info card that includes the Encyclopedia entry and a picture of the flower.
Getting closer! Next step- I’m going to see if a few micro beads look nice rolling around in the essences, like the bubbles in the glitch asset.
A guy in my psychology class said he thought orientation could possibly be a choice;
xxic:
Me: Okay so if orientation is a choice, choose to be gay, right now.
Him: No.
Me: Why not?
Him: Because I don’t find men attractive
Me: So CHOOSE to find them attractive
Him: ……. I can’t.
Me: Sorry, WHAT was that? You CAN’T????

yknow sometimes you just get tired of drawing fictional characters and you wanna draw some irl kids!!
THIS IS A DRAWING BY MY REAL LIFE FRIEND OF MY REAL-LIFE FRIENDS.
OK so we’re gonna go from left to right, top to bottom, OK?
First guy- he’s the new VP for NEHS! He’s in general a pretty cool dude. Kinda classy.
First girl sitting down- she’s the one I’ve been talking to you about, the friend I’ve recently gotten close to! Yeah she’s awesome. I actually sent her the link to my blog today!
I’m not really that close to the other girl sitting down, but they are good friends!
The next one sitting in the other group is someone I talk to, but I don’t talk to her enough. She likes pokemon and dragon age and is a cool good kid.
I barely talk to the last person in the first row.
Middle kid is cool, but I also don’t talk to her too much. I follow her, but she doesn’t follow me. (no hard feelings at all though~)
OK second row!
I wish I talked more to the first two kids, but I don’t.
The next one is meee!!!! I’m short, in case you didn’t know. :D It’s accurate; I’m small, my hair is fluffly, I’m usually carrying books, I’m even doing my usual t-shirt and long-sleeved shirt underneath thing, and yeah I have glasses! Anyway yes now you know what I look like normally ^^
I don’t talk too much to the next guy.
The last guy is someone I always wanted to be close to, but he’s…a bit weird. Usually discontent with the world, as you can see by his face.
Anyway yeah my friends guys!

ITS ON MY DASH AGAIN I THOUGHT I LOST IT FOREVER

Last week I ran a bunch of comics dealing with things that bug me about teaching… this week, it’s all about the things I LOVE about teaching!
For those of you out there who are thinking “Oh my God, Mr. Pearce recommended one of the most violent, explicit books currently in print to a 9th grader… what IS he doing?” Well, in answer to that question, I’d ask you to click over to our local paper’s website and read this article. Then know how proud we all are of Julia!
